The fourth and the last day of Fashion Pakistan Week (FPW) 3 concluded in a graceful ceremony at a local hotel late on Tuesday evening.
Prominent personalities, including Adviser to Sindh Chief Minister on Media, Sharmila Farooqi, Federal Adviser on Textile Dr Mirza Ikhtiar Baig and a number of fashion critics and lovers attended the event. The finale featured collections from Sana Safinaz, Tapu Javeri, Abdul Samad, Iman Ahmed, Deepak Perwani, Feeha Jamshed and Honey Waqar.
Abdul Samad conquered the evening with his brilliant Jinnah’s attire collection. He successfully promoted the outfit of the founder of the country. The collection included tailcoats, sherwani, neckties, two-piece and three-piece suits as well as long coats. Renowned celebrities Moammar Rana and Sajid Hassan walked the ramp in the attire of Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah and Liaquat Ali Khan respectively. The barrister wigs and lawyers outfits were also a part of Abdul Samad’s collection. He also included Jinnah’s sherwani and cap in his collection. His models carried props including pipes, cigars, umbrellas, handbags and newspapers, giving an attractive antique look to the show.
Sana Safinaz’s collection included tops with coats, dresses embroidered in golden colour besides other western dresses. Her models wore dark and light both types of makeup.Tapu Javeri, a jeweller, artist, photographer and designer came up with a unique presentation focused on handbags and abayas. The handbags were colourful and attractive giving a trendy look to the traditional wear. The abayas were beautifully embroidered while the models veiled their faces with nets. The audience appreciated Javeri’s work with a huge round of applause.
Feeha Jamshed dedicated her presentation to her sister who passed away last year. Her collection included gowns of silk and cotton fabrics. An abstemious music for the presentation was directed by Mustafa Ali Jamshed. Being dedicated to Jamshed’s sister, the presentation gave an impression of sobriety.Deepak Perwani, a man who needs no introduction, incorporated printed saris, skirts and frocks in his collection. The dresses had sophisticated cuts with beautiful designs with the fabrics beautifully embroidered. Renowned celebrity, Nadia Hussain glided down the ramp as the showstopper for Perwani.
Iman Ahmed’s Body Focus Museum presented a collection in different styles. Her collection comprised of white coloured dresses with traditional hair bands, black trousers and pockets. The traditional lehanga was also a part of her collection.Honey Waqar’s presentation was the last of this year’s FPW. It presented fusion of coronal roses with rhythm of love and romantic ambience. Each dress of Waqar’s collection had a red rose on it giving the collection a pleasant look. The dresses included, Barbie dresses, saris and Kashmiri traditional dresses.
