PIAKARACHI: A PIA flight flying from Turbat to Karachi narrowly escaped a disaster when two birds suddenly stormed into it on Friday.

Civil Aviation sources said PIA’s flight-502 was flying from Turbat to Karachi when it was struck at a distance of 15 nautical miles with two birds, however, the pilot with presence of his mind and extraordinary skills steered the plane and managed to land it safely at the airport. According to the sources, a bird hit it on the left side, carving an eight inch hole, while the other one landed in its air conditioning duct. – PT
