Sources said the decision to appoint new Senate chairman has been taken at a meeting of the PPP core committee meeting held on Monday to analyse the post-Senate election situation.
The party decided that Senate Chairman Farooq Naek would be replaced, while President Zardari was all praise for the services of Naek.Sources said the other strong candidates for the top Senate slot are Raza Rabbani, Babar Awan and Farhatullah Babar.The President wishes to give some other responsibility to Farooq Naek, sources added. – Dunyanews
