HARIPUR: Secretary of MNA Gohar Nawaz was killed and two guards were injured when some unknown persons opened indiscriminate firing at Gohar’s vehicle in Haripur on Friday.
Gohar Nawaz, his Secretary Abdul Hafiz and two guards were on way to Haripur in their vehicle. Some unknown persons opened firing at the vehicle near Dhandha Chowk and as a result Abdul Hafiz was killed on the spot while the two guards sustained serious injuries. MNA Gohar Nawaz remained unhurt.
The injured were shifted to Haripur hospital.The police have registered case against the unknown persons and started investigation. According to the police, the incident seemed to be outcome of old enmity. – Nation
