ISLAMABAD: An official Spokesman highlighting the excellent performance of the Economic Coordination Committee of the Cabinet (ECC) said on Tuesday that the Committee in its 65 meetings since March 20, 2008 has taken 621 decisions.
In a statement issued here on Tuesday he said that out of 621 decisions of the ECC, 593 decisions of the Committee had been implemented so far while implementation on the remaining 28 decisions was under process.Further highlighting the performance of the ECC, the Spokesman said that from March 25, 2008 to December 1, 2008 and from March 9 to March 2010 in nine months, 13 meetings of the ECC were held which were chaired by Prime Minister in which 126 decisions were taken, out of which 125 decisions were implemented and one decision was under consideration.
He added that on an average 1.44 meetings were held in one month and the average of the decision ratio per meeting was 9.69.Similarly from December 2, 2008 to March 3, 2010, some 27 meetings of the ECC were held under the Chairmanship of former Finance Minister Shaukat Tareen.During the period 242 decisions were taken, out of which 237 decisions were implemented while 05 were under consideration for implementation.
He added that on average 1.80 meetings per month were held while the implementation of per decision was 8.96 per month.The Spokesman further said that from March,19,2010 to September 30,2011 25 meetings of the ECC were held under the Chairmanship of Finance Minister Dr Abdul Hafeez Shaikh in which the Committee made 253 decisions out of which 231 decisions were implemented and only 22 decisions were under consideration for implementation.He added that on average 1.39 meetings per month were held while the implementation of per decision was 10.12 per month and the average decision ratio per month was 9.69. – Brecorder
