HYDERABAD: A 3-member delegation of the Asian Development Bank visited Badin to assess the losses caused by the monsoon rains and floods to roads, bridges, government buildings and other infrastructure.
The delegates comprising Project Officers Umer Bin Zia and Ansar Ali, and Consultant Jahanzeb visited all the 5 talukas of the district.Later, they met DCO Badin Kazim Hussain Jatoi at the Darbar Hall. EDO Finance and Planning Saleem Rajput, EDO Works and Services, District Accounts Officer Ahmed Ali Mirza and other officials of the district government also attended the meeting.
On the occasion, the DCO briefed the ADB delegation about the losses caused to Badin’s economy, agriculture, livestock and other sectors.He said rehabilitation of all those sectors as well as the buildings of the affected schools, colleges, health centres and other government offices and infrastructure should begin at the earliest to restore normal life. – Brecorder
