ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Syed Yusuf Raza Gilani has convened the All Parties Conference Thursday to discuss with political leaders the serious challenges to the national security and to forge a united stance.The meeting to be held on Sept 29 at the PM house will focus on the recent threats to the national security where the political leaders will be briefed by the concerned officials about the latest situation and ways to deal with it. Gilani on Sunday telephoned political leaders of various political parties and invited them to attend the national conference.
Gilani had telephoned chief of Pakistan Muslim League-N Mian Nawaz Sharif, Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) chief Altaf Hussain, head of Awami National Party Asfandyar Wali, head of Jamaat-e-Islami Munawar Hassan, Jamiat-i-Ulema Islam-F chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman, leader of Pakistan Muslim League-Q Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain, President Pakistan Muslim League (LM) Saleem Saifullah Khan, Pakistan Muslim League-F Pir Pagaro, Pakistan Tehrik-e-Insaf Chief Imran Khan, PPP-S chief Aftab Sherpao, JUI-N chief Anas Noorani, Parliamentary Leader of MNAs from FATA Munir Khan Orakzai and Sheikh Rasheed Ahmed of Awami Muslim League. – APP
