ISLAMABAD: Rs 210 million have been collected in the Prime Minister’s Flood Relief Fund in the last two days with contributions from various government and private institutions, said a Spokesman of Prime Minister House here on Wednesday.
The Fund is set up to provide relief assistance to seven million flood victims in the Sindh Province.On Wednesday, Chief Minister Gilgit-Baltistan Syed Mehdi Shah presented a cheque for Rs. five million to Prime Minister Syed Yusuf Raza Gilani for the Flood Relief Fund.Chief Justice of Pakistan and Judges of the Supreme Court have donated five days salary, while Inspector General of Motorway Police Zafar Ullah Khan also presented a cheque for one million rupees to Prime Minister for the Relief Fund. – APP
