LAHORE: Seeing the outstanding results of Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Women Wing’s official website, the Punjab chapter of the main party has decided to take the initiative of launching its own official website to improve the party’s image and multiply its cadre.Sources in the party told Daily Times, on Tuesday, that the decision of launching the website within the next two weeks was made on Monday, in a special meeting held at the party’s provincial headquarters located in Faisal Town.
The meeting was headed by PPP Punjab President Chaudhry Imtiaz Safdar Warraich in which an engineer of the information technology gave briefing on technical issues related to an organisational website as well as its other requirements. The sources said that before Monday’s meeting, another meeting in this regard was held at the PPP finance secretary’s office located on Davis Road, which was attended by all the office bearers. Later, the party’s provincial head called for an official meeting at the party’s headquarters
PPP leaders thoroughly informed the IT engineer regarding the data and other material, including party policy, manifesto, history of their party and party’s founder Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto, his daughter and party’s assassinated chairperson Benazir Bhutto, Bhuttos’ family history, history of party’s provincial workers who sacrificed their lives for the rich cause of restoration of democracy in the country during General Zaiul Haq and General Pervez Musharraf’s dictatorial regimes.
Also, photographs of the martyrs as well as all available speeches of Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto and Benazir Bhutto were also provided to be displayed on the website, the sources said, adding that special information about the party’s young Chairman, Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, and Co-Chairman, Asif Ali Zardari, will also be available on the website. Organisational information, including the information about PPP Punjab chapter’s office-bearers as well as the office bearers of all 37 districts in the province will also be displayed on the website. – Dailytimes
