KARACHI: Sindh Local Government Minister Agha Siraj Durrani said on Tuesday that directives had been issued to restore the freezed accounts of all towns and talukas after their restoration under the local government system.He was addressing a high-level meeting at the office of secretary local government here.Durrani said honest, devoted and hardworking officials would be assigned in the local government department to maintain good governance so as to improve overall LG system in the province of Sindh.
He directed to get approval of all schemes, particularly, those of road construction and development of nullahs from the department of local government and the same be also publicised. He also directed the DCOs to immediately return the equipment of their concerned TMOs. He further directed that no official be appointed without the directives of the LG department. – Dailytimes
