MUZAFFARABAD: An 18-member cabinet of Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) took oath at the assembly’s secretariat on Tuesday.AJK President Raja Zulqarnain administered oath to the new ministers.AJK Prime Minister, Chaudhry Abdul Majeed, Speaker of AJK Legislative Assembly Sardar Ghulam Sadiq, Deputy Speaker Shaheen Kausar Dar, PPP Secretary General Jahangir Badr, member of PPP Central Executive Committee Qazi Sultan Mehmood, Rizwan Qureshi, Chief Secretary Arbab Shehzad, members of the legislative assembly and high officials attended the ceremony held at the lush green lawns of the assembly’s secretariat.
No MQM leader attended the function.Those who were administered oath included Chaudhry Latif Akbar, Sardar Qamaruz Zaman, Javed Ayub, Chaudhry Rasheed, Bazil Naqvi, Mian Abdul Waheed, Pervez Ashraf, Afsar Shahid, Azhar Gilani, Javed Iqgal Badhanvi, Faisal Mumtaz Rathore, Abdul Majid, Chaudhry Arshad Hussain, Chaudhry Akbar Ibrahim, Abdus Salam Butt, Ali Shah Soni, Matloob Inqilabi and Sardar Akhtar Hussain Rabbani.On the occasion, the AJK President, Raja Zulqarnain, the AJK Prime Minister,Chaudhry Abdul Majeed, the speaker and deputy speaker congratulated the newly inducted ministers, while all ministers thanked participants of the function. – Dailytimes
