The 1st Pakistan Pharma Summit was hosted by Pakistan Pharmaceutical Manufacturers Association at Pearl Continental, Karachi, bringing together great minds to enable harvesting the fruit of collective wisdom.And on the first day of this summit, on 14th June, the welcome address by Haroon Qasim, Chairman PPMA spelled out the immense need for such an august gathering.“The Pakistan Pharmaceutical Industry”, he said “was undergoing a transition where it needs to anticipate and adapt to the challenges and opportunities within the evolving landscape to ensure uninterrupted supply of innovative medicines”. And as the first days proceedings continued the speakers like Khalid Mehmood, MD Geo Pharma, Prof.Dr.Ata ur Rehman, UNESCO’s Science Laureate, Sardar Yasin Malik, Chairman, Hilton Pharma and other experts shared with members of Phara Industry interesting case studies, business experiences and guru oriented tips about the future. On this occasion messages of felicitations were received from Asif Ali Zardari, President and Yousuf Raza Gilani, Prime Minister and Dr.Farooq Sattar, Minister for Overseas Pakistanis was present in person. The Summit will conclude on Wednesday,15th June.
