Faysal Bank’s profits down

KARACHI: The profit after tax of Faysal Bank Ltd has declined to Rs 241.258 million for the first quarter ending March 31, 2011 compared to Rs 1.685 billion same period last year.According to financial results of the bank despatched to Karachi Stock Exchange here Wednesday, the profit before tax has also dropped to Rs 330.156 million as against Rs 2.057 billion in 2010.The earning per share also slipped to Rs 0.33 during the period under review against last year’s Rs 2.31. – Brecorder
