PESHAWAR:The International Arbab Niaz Cricket Stadium has been handed over to Peshawar Cricket Association on three years lease aimed at promoting the most popular sports of Khyber Pakthunkhwa.The Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between government of Khyber Pakthunkhwa and Peshawar district association was reached in presence of Sports Minister Khyber Pakthunkhwa Syed Aqil Shah and President Peshawar District Cricket Association Fayaz Ali Shah.An official of PCB, Ameer Nawab said that PCB would extend full support in terms of getting equipments and up-gradation of Arbab Niaz Cricket Stadium to promote cricket in this part of the country.He informed that Saudi Arbabi Cricket Team will schedule to play a cricket match here on February 22 next to promote cricket and provide healthy activities to residents of Peshawar and adjoining districts.The players of Peshawar Cricket Association would largely be facilitated from this mega plan as earlier they had lacked such facilities.The PCB would also support staring of Cricket Academy besides provision of technical expertise to players of Peshawar association.The trophy matches would also be held in this stadium and players would get quality services to groom their talent – APP
