LAHORE: The Punjab government has decided to retain a ban on kite flying and Basant, a private TV channel reported on Sunday.According to a handout, the ban has been retained for the protection of life and property of people. A Punjab government spokesperson said that the decision was made in a high level meeting, which debated the issue, the channel reported.Earlier, the Kite Flying Association had announced to celebrate Basant on February 27 and 28, and had asked the government to reconsider the ban.However, the government, after considerable consultations, refused to lift the ban, the channel reported – Dailytimes
