COAS visits flood hit areas on second day of eid

Chief of Army Staff (COAS), General Ashfaq Parvez Kayani on Sunday, the second day of Eid-ul-Fitr visited the flood affected areas of Southern Punjab.He attended a briefing on flood relief operations given to Prime Minister by Multan Corps Commander.COAS flew over the flood affected areas and visited Multan, Kot Addu and surrounding areas of Rahim Yar Khan.He interacted informally with the troops deployed for the flood relief activity and appreciated their commitment and resolve to assist the flood affected countrymen. He also visited flood relief center and facility established by the Army.COAS also visited the Australian Hospital established for the flood affected at Kot Addu.
