LAHORE:The Lahore Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LCCI) would organise ‘Economic Dialogue-2011’ here on Tuesday (February 1), to explore solutions to the ongoing economic problems. According to a LCCI spokesman here Monday,the decision to initiate an economic dialogue has been taken as the growing gap between revenue and expenditure has increased the vulnerability of economic framework, requiring the federal and provincial governments to tighten belt with a view to putting economy on track. Leading Economic experts,policy makers and top-notch business leaders would present their views to clear the murk and suggest ways leading to transparency in the decision making in the government and the private sector. All areas of the economy including Reformed General Sales Tax, fiscal deficit, bad governance, implications of non-availability of low cost money to the business community, energy shortage, heavy government borrowings, negative growth in large scale manufacturing sector, food security, complications in taxation system and law and order situation would be discussed. The President LCCI Shahzad Ali Malik would be the chief guest while Dr Akmal Hussain, Chairman APTMA Gohar Ijaz, Dr Pervaiz Tahir, Dr Rashid Amjad, Dr Shujat Ali and Almas Haider would present their view point – APP
