GHALANAI: Panic gripped Baizai and Safi tehsils of Mohmand Agency when spy drones were heard hovering over the border area on the night between Sunday and Monday. Residents said that the spy planes continued to circle over the area throughout the night.
Meanwhile, gunship helicopters targeted suspected militant hideouts in Anbar and Baizai tehsils. The security forces also shelled the positions from the Ghalanai headquarters and Mamad Gat FC Camp. No information of casualties was available. The security forces also continued to conduct search operations in Safi and Baizai areas.
11 PASSENGERS HURT: At least 11 passengers were injured in a head-on collision between a car and a coach in Haleemzai tehsil of Mohmand Agency on Monday. Eye-witnesses said that the car was accompanying a marriage procession when it collided with the flying coach in the Durbakhel area on Peshawar-Bajaur road.
