Sharjah Police on Monday, arrested red handed a gang comprising three Pakistani nationals specialised in burgling commercial outlets. The gang members robbed 15 commercial outlets and electrical shops in various parts of Sharjah. A top official at Sharjah Police said a number of complaints were received at various police stations in Sharjah about the thefts and robberies in these outlets. The police traced the gang with the help of a patrol which followed three men who were suspiciously moving around the Al Butian area. The police patrol arrested them red handed, while trying to break into the door of one of the shops by using tools to cut the lock of the door The CID official said the two men tried to resist strongly and violently, but the police managed to arrest them. The police also chased the third one who was told to keep an eye in the area while the robbery was in process and arrested him after he tried to disappear in the neighbourhood. All three suspects confessed to their crimes and said they robbed 15 outlets including large quantity of cables and electric wires from electrical shops. The suspects used a pickup to transport the stolen items. The police later found it parked in the area with a large number of stolen items and tools they used to break into the doors of the outlets.
