ISLAMABAD:The parliamentary committee on judges’ appointments on Sunday approved the nomination of Iqbal Hamidur Rehman as Chief Justice Islambad High Court.The meeting was chaired by Chairman of the committee and Leader of the House in Senate Syed Nayar Hussain Bukhari. The committee also approved names of Riaz Ahmed Khan and Tariq Kasi for judges in the Islamabad High Court.Iqbal Hamidur Rahman, is the son of the noted (late) chief justice of Pakistan (CJ) Justice Hamoodur Rahman.The eight-member committee had been constituted under the 18th Amendment for the appointment of superior court judges. It comprises senators Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain, Ishaq Dar, Syed Nayyar Hussain Bukhari and Sabir Baloch and members of the National Assembly Sardar Mehtab Ahmed Khan, Ghous Bux Mehar, Aftab Shaban Mirani and Asma Arbab Alamgir – App
