PESHAWAR: It has been decided to make mandatory the administration of polio drops to the children of Khyber Pakhtoonkhwa and tribal areas before taking admission in private and government schools.To control increasing polio cases, federal government has directed the provincial government to take steps to control the disease while in first phase it is being decided to make mandatory administration of polio drops to the children before taking admission in government and private schools. The polio cases have increased from 101 to 108. On time of admission in the schools the parents would show polio immunization cards while Health department would provide the immunization cards.Sources of Health department told that the some Ulema are contacting Health department to administer polio vaccines to Taliban in mosques and religious seminaries.
