QUETTA: Unidentified gunmen on Sunday shot dead four policemen in an attack on their van in the Kardap area near Mastung, officials said.The incident took place in the Gard Gab area, in the Nushki district, local police official Abdul Salam said.The assailants ambushed a police van carrying salaries for the Nushki district police personnel attending a training course in Kalat, he said, adding that the unidentified attackers managed to escape from the scene.“Three policemen were killed on the spot, while one died on the way to the hospital,” Salam said, adding that two more policemen were wounded.
A local government official also confirmed the casualties.The deceased policemen were identified as Head Constable Nazir Ahmed Lehri, constables Saeed Ahmed and Muhammad Arif and the driver Nazir.
