LAHORE: Prime Minister Syed Yusuf Raza Gilani has taken notice of losses to industry due to gas shortage in the country. According to official sources here, the prime minister has called a high level emergency meeting in this week in which Chief Minister Punjab Shahbaz Sharif, Federal Minister for Petroleum and Gas Syed Naveed Qamar and officials concerned would participate. The meeting will ponder over the measures to remove the shortage of gas and steps to run the industry smoothly in the country, the sources said.The prime minister has sought proposals from Federal Minister for Petroleum and Gas Naveed Qamar in this regard, the sources said.Prime Minister Gilani said that industry was the backbone of the economy which could not be allowed to be weakened, adding that uninterrupted gas supply would be ensured to industries, the sources said.The prime minister said that the revolutionary steps would be taken to resolve this problem in a few days, the sources added – App
