Pakistan to share its vision at PDF meeting : Kaira

LAHORE : Federal Information Minister Qamar Zaman Kaira has said that a two-day meeting of Pakistan Development Forum (PDF) will be held mid next month. Briefing media after the federal cabinet meeting at Governor’s House here on Wednesday, Kaira said that the cabinet deliberated upon the annual event of PDF meeting, in which Pakistan would share its future vision, economic development programme, security threats and other problems with participating friendly countries. Pakistan would discuss the areas where it needs their assistance and support at this forum, which is not a donors’ conference where the participating countries are supposed to make commitments for donation, he added.
Kaira asserted that cabinet members agreed with the Prime Minister’s vision- “At the PDF meeting, our basic objective would be to seek access to international markets for trade, which means we want to get rid of aid and determine to improve country’s economic health through enhanced global trade – App
